LEGO has unveiled the new LEGO DC Superheroes 76117 Batman Mech vs. Poison Ivy Mech. The set will be on display at SDCC 2018 and available in stores everywhere on January 2019.
Batman is ditching his Batmobile once again for a walking, socking Batmech. Compared to the mech from LEGO 76026 Gorilla Grodd Goes Bananas, this one is far more angular, aggressive, and packing way more firepower and bat symbols, almost reminiscent of the old LEGO Bionicle line. Which one is your favorite?
▼The Batmech in LEGO 76026 Gorilla Grodd Goes Bananas has a simpler color scheme
On the other hand, the Poison Ivy mech is much more interesting. Less a mech than a Franken-plant exo suit, it is assembled from tree branches, vines and leaves, with plenty of room for modifications! In addition to the two mechs, the set comes with four minifigures: Batman, Flash, Poison Ivy and the villain Firefly, captured in minfigure form for the very first time. Firefly comes with a brand new helmet mold, his jetpack and a crazy flame booster effect build that can suspend Firefly in mid-flight motion.
