The Classic Mini Trend Is Here With The PlayStation Classic!

After Nintendo released the Classic Mini NES and Classic Mini Famicom, looks like SONY is following the trend as they announced the fifth-generation console PlayStation from 1994 is also getting a retro version with PlayStation Classic, estimated release date December 3.


On December 3, 1994, SONY announced "PlayStation," the first console to use CD-ROM technology that has 3D graphics, excellent video quality, and revolutionary Hardware, with games like Final Fantasy VII, Resident Evil, Metal Gear Solid, and Tenchu. Competing with the SEGA Saturn and Nintendo 64 and sold over 100 Million becoming the iconic console of its time.


PlayStation Classic retains the original grey body, buttons, and memory and controller slot. Even the packaging is the same but is 45% smaller on the sides and 80% smaller in terms of its overall volume, enough to fit on an adult's hand. The controller, on the other hand, hasn't been downsized. It will include two so you could play with your friend!

PlayStation Classic use HDMI output, USB(Micro-B) for charging, and comes pre-loaded with Final Fantasy VII, R4: Ridge Racer Type 4, Jumping Flash!, Tekken 3, Wild Arms, and 20 other classic games(varies depending on the region sold).
